Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) opened on November 2, 2001, and is designed by Murphy/Jahn Inc. Architects according to an urban concept. The completed center will be like a town integrating exhibition halls, business centers, post offices, banks, restaurants, customs offices, advertising agencies, and shipment agencies. Already now SNIEC has come to be regarded worldwide as an international meeting place where successful business contacts are forged.
Currently SNIEC has 9 halls with 103500 sqm of indoor, one-story, pillar-free exhibition space. After full completion, the center will have 17 halls with an integrated hotel and conference center complex. The total exhibition area is up to 250,000sqm (200,000 sqm of indoor and 50,000sqm of outdoor). One can say that SNIEC has created one of the most impressive, efficient, and functional exhibition venues in Asia today.
With gracious services and unbeatable facilities, SNIEC has attracted a number of region-leading exhibitions, and looks forward to continuing success during its future expansions.
